Politics and Make-Up

i have, as Owner will attest, become somewhat over-obsessed by the dramatic events in Egypt over the past week, spending way too much time transfixed by the coverage of the uprising in Egypt against Mubarak on Al Jazeera TV. The heroism of the people, and of the journalists from media outlets trying to cover the events, in the face of orchestrated violence and intimidation is truly inspiring. As i write this it would seem events are at something of an impasse with the regime squirming and twisting and trying to cling onto power....i wish the Egyptian people well in their struggle.

Unfortunately, my interest in revolutionary events in the Middle East and North Africa has led me to become somewhat distracted (combined with continued uncertainty over my job). However, today Owner sought to wrest me back and cheer me up with a little make-up session. This time i was to be Owners muse as She experimented with some new eyeshadow on me. i think She did a great job;

Hello pet

I too have been transfixed and almost overwhelmed by the Egyptian people. I think it is wonderful that they have achieved so much with non-violent protest.

That being said Owner has done a wonderful job and this is a welcome distraction from the TV!

Lis - Thanks for the comment and i agree it truly is humbling but also reaffirming in the potentil of humanity for good in the face of huge obstacles.

Mistress 160 - Shokran. Yes Owner likes me to have them clipped to my collar so that they are available at all times should She wish to use them.

I think I might swipe the clover clamp idea :)

I used to live in Egypt (on Zamalek, an island in the Nile) and loved it very much. Thank you for caring about the general population there. It's getting to the point now where people are taking greater risks going out because they are running out of stored food at home. I hope things settle soon.
