My Wonderful Owner

It has been almost a week now that i have been laid up, first with my hip and then with my back (the latter triggered by the problem i had with the former). There has been very little that i have physically been able to do other than occasionally slowly shuttle to the bathroom or the kitchen and back, at first only with the help of crutches, now finally unaided.

During this time Owner has been a star. She has cooked and cleaned, helped to towel me dry after a shower, brought me drinks and snacks, entertained and looked after me. She even went out and bought me some clothes to cheer me up (cute shorts and a little t-shirt) and some things to read, a travel guide to our next big planned holiday destination (Japan) and a manga about the joys of dressing up and trying to look cute - just up my street! All whilst still working full-time. i truly have the best, most caring and the kindest Owner in the world.

i feel guilty about Her doing all this and keep sporadically trying to 'help' only to be immediately scolded and told my focus should be on taking care of my back and ensuring that it fully recovers and there is no repeat of what happened to me 15 years ago. That is when 2 discs slipped and i was left unable to walk for months and it took a further 2-3 years before i was physically capable of doing something as simple as running to catch a bus. Thankfully, my routine of daily exercises and stretches helped my back to recover. Until that is the bursitis in my hip managed to trigger it last week. i am hopeful, however, that i will have fully recovered by next week.

Meantime, i am being ultra cautious and just trying to 'sneak-in' a bit of occasional and very light housework, things that don't risk my back or the wrath of my concerned Owner. Most of my day is, however, spent doing next to nothing constructive or useful. Instead, all i can do is watch as my poor Owner works and toils around me and marvel at what a truly wonderful, caring and beautiful Owner i have. She truly is one in a million.

Poppet, so sorry you have been struggling with the painful hip and back and I certainly wish for a speedy recovery. And I agree you have a wonderful owner, who is kind, caring, accomplished, strong, capable and understandingly wise to provide you with all the care you require; in every possible way a Woman can care for her “property” and partner in life….physically, emotionally, mentally, and with great love.

And in return you have surrendered all of yourself for her care and pleasure and joy as well almost every day that your health allows for same. It is what the union between man and woman is all about.

I believe you both grow as people and a couple each and every day. I see it in your posts. And I sense a special richness to your lives together, endearing as well as enviable and fulfilling. Rest up and get well fast.

Don't feel guilty about being injured or sick. Let her, and time, get you back to normal. Any sort of setback is not going to help anything Poppet, your best intentions are lovely, but the body needs to heal. :)
