She did indeed. It was a complete surprise to Her up until the day of departure, which was the day of Her birthday. She is someone who usually hates surprises, but this one She loved.

Did She 'reward' you in any way?

Well, She did give me a glass of Her, special wine to drink on the morning of our first day in Venice

We also visited the neighbouring islands of Murano and Burano (famous for their glass and lace respectively) in the lagoon. Each was fascinating and, in the case of Burano, much more colourful buildings compared to Venice.

So, what was the high-point of your visit?

Well. Obviously, it was the hat. I mean, just look at it, isn't it cute with those floppy......

But truthfully, what made the trip really special was spending a few days with Owner with neither of us having to think about work and just doing what we love to do most. Exploring, people watching, drinking in the sights and the coffee and, in my case, posing (enough!).
