Still Here

This is just a quick note to apologise for the lack of recent updates and to reassure that Owner and i are still alive and kicking. As mentioned in my last post we had guests staying with us for a week which, although hugely enjoyable, cast us back into a temporarily enforced vanilla-style relationship.

Owner and i are not a couple who entertain much/at all at home. Consequently, it was a bit of a shock to the system having guests (Owner's sister and her boyfriend) living with us in our little flat for seven days. We had to clear lots of things up into the loft in preparation for their arrival and it meant we also needed to adjust things between us whilst they were here. i still carried on doing my chores and housework etc but on a much reduced level, largely because we were out quite a bit.

Despite the disruption it was a really nice having them stay with us. i had to work a few days whilst they were here but for the most part we got to be tourists in our home city. It is amazing that, after nearly 25 years living in London, there are still secret places to discover in the city, even in its very heart. We also had a fun day out to Cambridge with them.

Me in vanilla mode
St. Katherine's docks
The Sky Garden inside the 'walkie talkie' building aka the Fenchurch Building
A backstreet in Knightsbridge
Chiswick house gardens
Skyscrapers behind the 'walkie talkie' building
Tower of London
London Bridge
Cardinal's wharf near The Globe theatre
The day they left we took them to the airport and then, upon our return home, Owner and i just dropped and enjoyed the silence and the experience of having our flat to ourselves. The next week then proved super busy work-wise and also very stressful. My team at work is being forcibly restructured and i also had multiple events i was presenting at. Owner is changing jobs and was feverishly trying to close down and hand things on whilst readying Herself for Her new role. As a consequence, we failed to really get back into the swing of things.

We agreed to put the outdoor challenge and dice roll on hold, in part because half of my wardrobe is still in the loft and also just because, well a bit of mental exhaustion i guess. i am still in chastity and back to wearing make-up and my usual attire but not all of the housework was completed and we ended up spending all of yesterday either asleep, staring blankly into space or watching TV together (the last of the X horror tryptic Maxxine, followed by the latest season of The Circle).

Fast asleep
Today (Sunday) finds us both still feeling exhausted but i will at least try and catch-up on some of the chores that never got completed last week. We recognise that our tiredness is, in large part, due to stress, stress that is unlikely to dissipate much next week. Owner starts Her new job on Monday and i have another really busy week ahead at work, replete with further presentations, difficult conversations etc.

We will, however, get back to where we were. Life sometimes intrudes like this, something i imagine everyone living this lifestyle is familiar with.

To those who have emailed asking if we are ok, thank you. You getting in touch means a lot. Hopefully i will be back posting on a regular basis again shortly. In the meantime, bear with me whilst we re-boot.

TV Tips for Vanilla Sub Sluts

Well today was an interesting day, i was filmed, for a TV programme. Now, before you get too carried away i should mention that this was in relation to my job, not as part of some fly-on-the-wall docu-drama about Owner and my lifestyle (which would itself be fun). No, this was strictly a work-related thing. So this meant no short skirts, no sex toys...none of that sort of naughty stuff.

But, it did mean that all of the following were possible. Namely to be filmed whilst,

  • locked in chastity - CHECK
  • wearing cute knickers - CHECK
  • wearing a lacy bra - CHECK
  • wearing make-up (my own) - CHECK
  • wearing my usual rings and chains etc - CHECK n.b. though i did have to remove my little bell bracelet as the sound could apparently be heard of it tinkling as i walked

In short, even when doing very vanilla activities there is still always plenty of opportunity to bring a little bit of the 'real' you to the party.

Here is a picture taken from the shoot

In other news i received a few interesting compliments from my mum and my aunt in the past week. First, my mum managed to come out with the line (when talking to me on the phone)

That is such a girly thing to say- which kind of made me smile

Then my aunt, when meeting Owner and i for dinner earlier this week, remarked (when talking of my relationship with Owner)

You can really see who is in charge - which also made me smile

Finally, to THAT football match, the England vs. Italy one. Did the result mean that i had to undertake more challenges or punishments? No. Both Owner and i each picked Italy to win, which meant that neither of us beat the other - so the result was another draw which meant no extra challenges or punishment. Oh well.

Tomorrow, however, is a big day in the calendar. It is the 16th of the month which means that, not only do i get to have to roll the dice for another outdoor challenge. It is also time to roll the chastity dice again. Last time i rolled these was exactly three months ago when they determined that i should go from being in chastity 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week to being in chastity on weekdays only for a 3 month period. Well that 3 month period ends tomorrow when i will discover whether i will return to being locked up 24/7 or not.

i will keep you posted on the outcome.

The Heat Is On And Off

Britain baked in a heatwave much of last week and a dangerous charlatan became Prime Minister. As a result Owner and i spent as much time as possible hiding from the heat and despairing of the state of this country and the world in general. Owner excused me of many of my duties to avoid working up even more of a sweat than i generated simply by lying still. Both of us were grateful of the wonderful fan that we invested in a few months ago though even that got to the stage where all it was doing was blasting us with warm air - like being in the world's biggest hairdryer. Some readers might wonder what the fuss is about, temperatures here peaked at 38 Celsius not the mid-40s found elsewhere. But London is not designed for heat and Owner in particular has a very low tolerance for it, Her ideal is 15 Celsius and rain :) So it was a week to be endured rather than enjoyed.

However, the temperature has now subsided and we were able to venture out to an exhibition at the British Library yesterday on this history of writing (fascinating - I never knew that the letter A began life as a symbol of an Ox head millenia ago and then gradually changed to the letter we are familiar with today).  Afterwards we went for drinks in one of our favourite London watering holes and then for a meal.

At the start of the week we also had some new flooring fitted. i stayed in and worked from home whilst it was done. However, Owner has a much better eye for detail than i and what to me looked like a job reasonably done failed Her test, by the time She had returned to inspect Herself the fitter had already left after i had declared myself satisfied with the results. i have been put on notice by Owner that if i accept sub-standard work again later in the year when we are having a new kitchen fitted then there will be hell to pay for (by me).

This coming week is a shorter one for us both as we are heading off to Spain for a few days towards the end of the week to spend time with Owners' family. We're both looking forward to a short break especially as our main holiday is still a month away and we are both fast starting to run out of steam and need a proper break to re-charge our batteries.

Meanwhile, today i have been fitting some blackout blinds - nothing like being prepared after the event! - to help keep the flat cool. Not much else to report - except to say that still i am still blissfully, frustratingly, achingly being kept denied.

Still Here

Sorry for the lack of posts, Owner and i have been visiting family and then have had family members staying with us for an extended period. However, normal service will resume soon!
