The past couple of weeks have witnessed remarkable change, protest and state violence across swathes of North Africa and the Middle East which has had me totally transfixed. The temptation to log-on to find out what the latest drama is rather than do some much needed housework has all too often been too great and, as a consequence, i have not been as good a pet at times as i could be. Owner has been remarkably tolerant of this, knowing that i am quite a political pet. However, i know that it is not good and something i need to try and moderate and control to ensure it does not have too great an impact upon my own duties and service.

We have also had a succession of family guests staying the past couple of weekends which has meant hiding lots of toys etc away and limited opportunities for me to dress-up whilst they are here, though if they could see what i am wearing underneath my 'regular' clothes they might be surprised! New Look

Regular followers of this blog may have noticed that i have been changing my hair style. Gone is the super short cut and of late i have been actively trying to grow my hair longer so that i might look a little more femme. However, as anyone who has attempted to grow their hair will attest, hair does not grow in a  nice and uniform manner and of late mine has been looking a little ragged. This is largely due to the fact that it has not been cut since November so yesterday was the day i headed back to a salon to get it cut again. Essentially, and having first discussed and agreed with Owner, i am aiming for an emo-style cut but i need to let the top of my hair catch-up (length-wise) with the sides. Lately the back of my hair has got quite long but the top is still pretty short, it was time for a tidy-up and for the hair dresser to exercise some control if i am ever to achieve the new look i am after (and quite a novel experience that will be as i have not had long hair since my early twenties).

Anyway, to cut a long story short i'm pleased with the results and so, more importantly, is Owner. The sides have been shortened and tidied-up with the top left long so that now it will hopefully grow longer overall but in a uniform manner. As i write this it would seem events are at something of an impasse with the regime squirming and twisting and trying to cling onto power....i wish the Egyptian people well in their struggle.

Unfortunately, my interest in revolutionary events in the Middle East and North Africa has led me to become somewhat distracted (combined with continued uncertainty over my job). However, today Owner sought to wrest me back and cheer me up with a little make-up session. Health Check - Owner Style

Hair

After many years of having my hair cut short Owner has been encouraging me to grow it longer. Another Year of Femdom Fun

Well Christmas is over and the New Year has begun and Owner and i are both looking forward to another 12 months of submission, fun, silliness and sluttiness (on my part). However, they did give me quite a few clothes vouchers from shops i had carefully recommeneded on account of their having good male AND female departments. So it was that, on our first full day back in London after the New Year, Owner and i went clothes shopping with my vouchers and Owner allowed me to buy lots of pretty clothes - so thank you family.

This week we both returned to the reality of work but Owner has begun planning 'something' for my birthday which i am terribly excited about. Meanwhile, i'm trying to start the New Year as i ended the last, keeping upto date with my tasks and duties and continuing the further training Owner instructed. My cooking and baking continues to progress apace (i made a traditional Roscon de Reyes for Owner);

and i did get to practice quite a bit of Spanish over the New Year which i need to keep up. Seasons Greetings

Well tomorrow Owner and i make our respective journeys to see our families, Her to Spain me to SW England. Both of us hate this time of year as it always mean we have to spend time apart (with the exception of last year where flight cancellations caused us to unexpectedly spend Xmas in London). i'll be flying out to join Owner for New Year and we'll be spending New Years Eve with some friends in a cottage in the mountains of the Picos de Europa which we're both really looking forward to. i just wish that there wasn't a period of separation for us over the Xmas period itself...oh well that's the joy of families in different parts of Europe for you.

This year has been a truly excellent one. We both feel that we have continued to grow, develop, deepen and strengthen our Femdom relationship and Owner has continued to gradually extended Her control over me. What is more, it has been and continues to be great fun. In Owner i have the best friend, soul-mate, lover, partner and Domme that anyone could ever wish for. It is also the first year when i can truly say i have not regressed in my behaviour at some point.
