A New Collar and Continued Adventures in Wales

In my previous post i mentioned that next month will mark 15 years since Owner and i first started 'dating'. Followers of the blog will recall that ours started as a vanilla relationship but then quickly morphed into a female-led one. Anyway, this morning as we were about to head out for a days walking in the hills Owner announced that She had something She wanted to discuss with me about our anniversary when we returned. As you can imagine i spent the whole day wondering what it might be.

Anyway, when we returned all was revealed. Owner has been researching a new collar for me to wear. The one i currently wear is made of twisted steel cord. You can see it in most pictures of me. i wear it all the time, including to work, visiting family etc. The only times it comes off is when we pass through airport security (it trips the machines), sometimes for photo shoots when Owner decides its slightly industrial aesthetic is not appropriate, and each night before going to bed. Owner became convinced i might somehow accidentally strangle myself with it during the night. In short, i wear it most of the time but it is starting to look a little worn.

Owners' announcement was that She has found a company that sells adorable 'O' ring necklaces that can be permanently locked shut and even have little messages created and attached hanging from the lock. They are super pretty. The person that makes them is actually based in Wales, albeit in the North not the South where we are staying. Her shop on Etsy is called Starlight and Shadows.

It will take a while for my new collar to be made and delivered and i have no idea which style Owner will choose for me to wear but i am super excited at the prospect as the designs in the shop are really pretty. i also love the fact that they can be permanently locked and Owner has already said that She expects me to wear the new collar all the time, including to bed.

In the meantime, Owner and i had a great day out on the hills amidst the swirling mists, although at one point we did have to beat a hasty retreat when faced off by a bull.
