Hello Dundee

On Friday night Owner and i strapped ourselves into a small turboprop aircraft and took a 90 minute flight north from London City airport to the small Scottish city of Dundee on the river Tay. We had originally planned to take this short trip before Xmas but had re-scheduled due to Covid. It was lovely to be able to get away this time.

The weather was pretty foul when we arrived (rain and strong winds) with the plane not so much landing more slamming onto the runway out of relief to be down. But within minutes we were out with our bags and in a taxi to the hotel, the taxi driver remarking that even the local supermarket was bigger than the airport (which could well be true).

Anyway, there were enough breaks in the weather for us to get out and about and explore the waterfront and the city during the forty or so hours of our stay. It is a lovely little place and we would recommend to others looking for somewhere for a short stay.

The hotel we stayed in (the Malmaison Dundee) has a fabulous staircase which i made full use of, posing in my green dress and hold-ups, as you can see

We also had a lovely dinner on the Saturday. Owner allowed me to have an alcoholic drink so i chose a cherry cider which She then teased me about for having chosen the pinkest drink possible!
