Owner's and my heart goes out to the people of Ukraine right now and to those brave Russians risking arrest to protest Putin's war. May his own days be numbered.
This is not a blog about geopolitics but how can one stay silent in the face of an unprovoked invasion of one European country by their better armed neighbour, all at the behest of one insecure man? To the brave men and women of Ukraine, and to ordinary Russians horrified by what is being unleashed in your name, my heart goes out to you all.

I want Russia to win.
You are entitled to your opinion anonymous but it is a pointless war which, even were Russia to 'win' militarily, they have already lost. They will have a hostile region to contend with and people with long memories meanwhile Putin's support in Russia is already starting to fracture in the Duma and amongst the officer class. It is the beginning of the end for him as ordinary Russians don't support this war either.

You are far more polite and tolerant of the post from "Anonymous" than I ever would be. :)
