Well, Owner and i are back from our New York anniversary adventure and are both feeling suitably jet-lagged. Owner has graciously granted me a brief 're-adjustment' period before my expected normal routine and rules come back into force tomorrow. Well, New York city was a blast. We arrived in the midst of a downpour but for the rest of the five days we were there we had wall-to-wall sunshine. We were staying in mid-town but explored much of that and the downtown area on foot. We also took the metro over to Brooklyn and visited Prospect Park, Brooklyn Heights and Williamsburg. One evening we took in a Broadway show, 'Beetlejuice' which was excellent and very funny and felt quite appropriate for the Halloween season - the town is pumpkin and spookiness crazy. Another day we took the Hudson line train out to Tarrytown (very pretty) and walked to the cemetery at Sleepy Hollow to visit Washington Irving's grave and the sight of the fabled headless horseman. We also re-visited the Empire State building (we have been to New York before) but this time at dusk to see the city light up, it's a gorgeous sight

However, there were two stand-out moments from the trip, each memorable for quite different reasons. The first was in the Museum of Sex and its 'funland' adult entertainment experience. i am not sure quite what i had expected but it was a bit of a disappointment, although the museum itself is very interesting. However, it was whilst participating in one of the 'funland' interactive games that i won a prize. The trip itself was wonderful. Owner and i had a great time and were sad that it came to an end all too soon. It was a wonderful way to spend our 17th anniversary. Hopefully we will be back again at some point. 

i did do a bad thing on the flight home, that is i drank some wine without having been given permission to by Owner. Although i have been told that i can relax my normal routines today i have been put on notice that i will be punished for my misbehaviour.

Long Overdue Update on NYC etc

With an apology that it is coming rather late but this is just a quick summary of Owners and my recent trip to New York and our forthcoming plans. Having mentioned that we were planning to do some public challenges in New York and thinking about some fun places to do them in the truth is that we both got so side-tracked sightseeing etc that, with only a short time available to us, we never actually got to do any challenges!

Don't take that the wrong way, we both had a wonderful time and packed in a whole heap of activities - including a helicopter tour around Manhatten, brunch cruise up the Hudson, going up the Empire State and the Rockefeller Centre, seeing members of one of our favourite bands in a show in Brooklyn, walking all around lower and mid-Manhatten (including walking past Woody Allen and his wife on 5th Avenue - how cool!) - it's just that we didn't actually do anything risque or kinky whilst we were there, except going to the sex museum which was pretty passe. We stayed at a great place called the Chelsea Pines Inn which we'd both thoroughly recommend as it's  not just a wonderful place to stay but is also in a fantastic location.

When we returned we were both feeling a little jet lagged and then i went down with something for a few days which meant that our planned trip to the Torture Garden Halloween Mass was cancelled and our outfits left un-worn. Hopefully we can make use of them another time. However, on a brighter note we have a short visit to the Suffolk coast coming up. We're staying in a cottage and we're hiring a car. The Big A Countdown

Yesterday i returned from a brief 4 day business trip to Singapore, it was actually a much more interesting place than i had imagined it might be and the architecture in the centre of the city is stunning.

However, it was wonderful to be back with Owner again after days apart and to start planning our trip to New York. We leave in a few days time and are both really excited at the prospect of time in the Big Apple. There is also lots of scope for some challenges and general fun and games.

We're Back

Owner and i had a fabulous time in the Czech Republic. We actually arrived back over a week ago but courtesy of the incompetence of our internet service provider (BT if you're interested) we had over a week of no broadband connection at all. Oh well, we are now very much back on line.

The holiday was fabulous and it was so great to go somewhere where, Prague aside, English is not that widely spoken forcing recourse to phrasebooks and pointing. It was great. We were staying in an area kown as the Bohemian Paradise famous for its landscape and rich in wildlife and culture. We went on walks almost every day and enjoyed wonderful small towns and villages that were empty of tourists.
