Poppet and Owner Travel Back In Time

Yesterday we visited the ruins of the Roman town of Ostia Antica, once the main port serving the capital of the Roman Empire. We have visited a number of Roman ruins and archaeological sites before but none were as impressive as this. The scale is vast.

You can wander through old Roman cemeteries, past warehouses and civic buildings, temples to the Gods. Walk down streets whose cobbled pavings are cut into by wheel ruts from ancient carts and chariots. Wander around the huge main plaza and visit the houses of of traders and noblemen. 

The site is stunning and just 30 minutes by metro from Rome. Do visit if you ever come to this city.

Owner and i both agreed that the boy in this sculpture looks almost as if he is wearing a chastity device!

Eventually, however, all good things come to an end and it was time to return to Rome for our final night here. We stopped off in a cafe for some delicious coffee and cake before later hitting a few bars and then going out for a meal.

It has been a wonderful return trip to the eternal city. We are already planning our next visit!

When In Rome.....

Owner and i are currently in a short break in Rome, Italy. It is a city we have been lucky enough to visit a few times before so there is no pressure to 'do the sights', as they have all been previously seen. That said, who can resist a return visit to cross the Tiber to the Forum, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Spanish Steps or the grounds of the Villa Borghese? No, not us either.

Owner has some health issues which are causing us both concern, so it has been nice to get away and just wander around Rome at our leisure. We had planned to head out to Ostia Antica today to see more Roman ruins but there is a 24 hour transport strike and so that particular plan has been postponed until tomorrow.

All there has been to do, therefore, is to enjoy the simple pleasures of pizza, pasta, beer, people watching, sightseeing, shopping, avoiding being run over - mostly successfully, i experienced the mild indignity of managing to be run over by a small hand-pulled cart, oh and making the occasional appearance in a dress or skirt.

The latter were fun to do although one look at the Roman cobbled streets was enough for Owner to forbid the wearing of the stripper heels i had brought along and to instead insist on the far more sensible option of my wearing trainers. Anyway, here i am in the backstreets of the Trastevere district:

And then the next day in the grounds of the Villa Borghese, during which my knickers ended up down around my knees - luckily for me the police car did not pass by at exactly that moment but about 30 seconds later, just as i was putting my jeans back on!

Thrash & Zap

Today i was lucky enough to be the recipient of a good thrashing, using the birch-style cane, followed by a zapping to my nipples with the electric clamps. This is part of Owners' new regimen of ensuring that i be electrocuted as well as beaten on an at least weekly basis to aid my development.

After the beating and electrocution i was instructed to pick cards to see what punishments and tasks lie in store for me for the week ahead. The answer was that i will be caned hard with the dragon cane and then receive multiples electrocutions using both the clit and the nipple clamp electroshock-devices. Owner was delighted with the outcome of my card draw as She loves electrocuting me as She knows i dislike it a lot.

However, we fly out to Rome for a few days on Wednesday and the suitcase is not big enough to fit the dragon cane so i will either need to be caned before we leave or when we return. There is though plenty of room in the case for Owners vicious single tail red whip, so that has been packed.

i am hoping that in Rome there might also be an opportunity for an outdoor photoshoot, we shall see.

Ten Years!

Owner and i have just returned from a short trip to Rome where we celebrated our tenth anniversary together as a couple, about nine and a half years of which have been spent in an evolving FLR relationship. i am so lucky to have met such a wonderful person as Owner and with whom i have had the honour and pleasure of spending the best ten years of my life with.

To mark the occasion Owner bought me a lovely new house collar to replace the one i have worn for many years as it was getting a little long in the tooth and suede lining was starting to fail. The new collar was custom made for us by some lovely people at dvnt leathers and we are delighted with it. Here it is on me, minus the cuffs that i usually wear attached at home:

As you can see i have also had a new haircut. My usual hairdresser is on maternity leave and so i used the occasion to try something different, needless to say it is taking me a while to get used to it although Owner loves it.

Anyway, back to Rome. We had a fantastic 4 days in the eternal city. We last visited 5 years ago and vowed to come back for our tenth anniversary. Needless to say we fully intend to return again, although probably later in the year as the weather was still a little too warm for Owners liking. For Owner the visit also gave her an opportunity to unwind and relax. As previosly mentioned She has been studying very hard recently for some exams for Her work - which She of course passed with flying colours. So She was able to enjoy the trip without having to still worry about Her studies.

In the meantime, i am continuing to try to live up to Owners expectations of me as part of the new Housewife Academy training regime She has started me on. i will update on how i am doing on this in a later blog post.
